My last entry is 768 days old..
Well I've been Quite busy.
I got married in Hawaii (Nov 2006), went back there on holiday (Oct 2007), moved from Osaka to Tokyo (March this year), started a new job (April) and so on.
Before I moved, I was half looking forward to living and working in Tokyo. I would come up here on a business trip, feeling all the buzz and excitement in town, wondering it would be so exciting to live here. The other half of me was dreading the commuting nightmare, prices, living away from parents and friends.
It's been 4 months since I moved and I've pretty much settled down now.
Osaka is the second largest city in Japan but still I was a bit baffled by the sheer number of people in Tokyo at first. I had heard about it but it's different when you are actually standing in the middle of the craziness in Shibuya. Honestly I don't know where all the people turn up from. I'd be walking across the station wondering " Is there a fireworks event or something going on?" EVERYDAY.
But before I knew, I was used to it. It's like you've been building up the nerve not to be intimidated by the crowd to realize one day it doesn't bother you anymore. At that point, you are part of it, I guess.
After that I no longer felt like an outsider and started to enjoy my life in Tokyo. After all there are so much to experience here!
